In order to provide a proactive response to customers' content requirements, eCP has been created with two strategic objectives in mind:
- To facilitate access to manufacturers parts data, Trace Software has agreed with TraceParts SA to contact manufacturers world wide and provide CAD users with 3D parts and models, in commonly used formats.
- Provide more content, by allowing users to register and become a part of the elecworks™ community, where they can publish, modify, collaborate, and share their data.
elecworks™ for SolidWorks uses 3D models in a SolidWorks format. In order to get the full benefit from using elecworks™ a few additions need to be made to the models..
